elenore19
I just recieved a new Macbook Pro, and with it came installation discs with Leopard. Can I use these discs to install Leopard onto my friends Macbook Pro? If so, how do I do it? I booted from CD and it said "This cannot be installed on this computer" or something like that. Is there a way around this? Thanks! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/85364-can-i-do-this/ Share on other sites

Berzerker
No. Disks that come with the computer are binded to the hardware serial numbers/firmware numbers. Colonel
No. Disks that come with the computer are binded to the hardware serial numbers/firmware numbers. Uhh.. no. Just as long as the other MBP is the same exact model and generation, it will work.
