fraserbra Posted January 30, 2008 Share Posted January 30, 2008 hey guys, these are my specs AMD Athlon X2 6000+ @ 3.15GHZ 2x1024 DDR2 Geil 4-4-4-12 Ram Ati Radeon HD 3870 512mb Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4rev2.0 (nforce 570 SLI) ----------------------------------- Storage All Brands are Seagate SATA II 7200RPM 16mb Cache 160GB ( Vista Installation here) (NTFS) 250GB (partitioned)(HFS+) -52.01GB Leopard OS X (HFS+) -182.10 Design Files (HFS+) 500GB,(NTFS) vista design files folder 400GB(NTFS) music movies tv shows I obtained Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.1 for AMD SSE2/SSE3 (32bits) burned, Booted, and everything works fine in the installation apart from petition I booted back into windows and installed MacDrive 7 to format my drives for mac since i was unable to in the setup input/output error occured, i installed BCE, to setup a Boot Select Menu, Vista option points to the corrosponding drive it is installed on Leopard option Points to the drive it WILL be installed on now i basically get up to the point where the isntallation is , CALCULATING THE TIME REMAINING about 1/10th of the progress bar and sits there for up to an hour, i dont know if it would sit there longer becusae i gave up at this point should i not give up it should install fast right seeing as my comp specs are pretty good? i need some help do i need to open up terminal, just prior to isntall and type in settings, and commands im new to this, but im not a noob, if you tell me how to do it, it will be done, cheers fraser Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/84626-315-ghz-dual-core-amd-late-setup-problems/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
