kai920
Exactly the same error on a 2.5" notebook Samsung 80GB hard drive, in external enclosure. Using Kalyway 10.5.2. I was able to use disk utility to erase the drive, but now I can't format it for installation. edit: I fixed it. Stuck the drive in a XP machine, initialized the disk, created a partition but did not format it nor assign a drive letter. Did some more fiddling in Disk Utility and now it's installing... kai920
Guess I spoke too soon. I tried to get my video card working, screwed something up and then ended up reinstalling Kalyway... now I can't get past the input/output error no matter what I do. Have tried searching here / Google for past few hours Probably problem with either my notebook harddisk or the USB enclosure chipset? PS. Could I format my drive in Windows so that it is ready for installation for Leopard right away?
