CompCrasher86
Hi I have been having trouble installing Leopard on my Presario 2500 and would like some help... I started by following the guide at http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=39253 I have a Kalyway 10.5.1 install disc and my laptop resets itself after darwin. (This is before I can even get to the installer) If I wait at Darwin prompt until timer runs out I get: System config file '/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist' not found If I "Press any key" at the darwin prompt it loads for a couple minutes and shows this: EFI enhanced bootloader build: ToH<BR>Using SMBIOS table found at 0x000f6a60<BR>Using ACPI RSDP revision 0 found at 0x000f6ab0 ...and then reboots When in verbose+safe mode, last couple of lines read: Loading HFS+ file: [/System/Library/Extensions/TMSafetyNet.kext/Contents/MacOS/TMSafetyNet] from 4230480<BR>EFI enhanced bootloader build: ToH<BR>Using SMBIOS table found at 0x000f6a60<BR>Using ACPI RSDP revision 0 found at 0x000f6ab0 ...and then it reboots They are attached if anybody is willing to tackle them Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/84352-need-help-getting-into-leopard-installer/ Share on other sites

mnsherick
I'm having same problem with 3 other computers. However I found it installed fine on a different computer, after I turned off everything in bios that isn't needed, and went vanilla install. Turn off all your ports, and audio/lan in bios and try again, hit F8 when the bootloader comes up, and type vanilla -enter and give it a shot. I'm really reaching here especially since I just got my first install going today after 2 or 3 days of work. If I'm wrong about anything someone please correct me since I know nothing about os x Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/84352-need-help-getting-into-leopard-installer/#findComment-610634 Share on other sites

Its cracked so I have to take it apart once the new one comes. Thank you ebay... Looking forward to this (Its probably the modem or the firewire or something) After its installed can I enable them one by one to see which ones work? or will that ruin it? mnsherick
If your still having problems try an easier install like JAS 10.4.8 which seems to work on more machines. I did, and it worked, aand everything is native except my graphics card, which was fixed by Katana. MiGnO
I got a similar problem. I was thought it was because of the bad writing or corrupted iso image, but looks like i'm wrong. tgos
Hey i found the same error. I fixed it by modifiying the resolution on the com.apple.boot.plist Before: <key>1400x1050x32@60</key> After: <key>1680x1050x32</key> Now it's working. Start Leopard with the -x option and modify it.
