Tesla
I am loading OSX from a dvd and I am getting a problem to the effect of "can't find root device" or something like that. This is happening like 2 minutes into installation with -v going. On normal boot is is happening with a tiny circle with a cross through it over the apple sign after the same amount of time. From reading, that is probably because either my dvd drive or hard drive is not compatible, so I am willing to buy a new dvd player and hard drive just to make it work. My original config that failed had a: Seagate Barracuda http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16822148262 and a Samsung DVDRW http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16827151153 This is running off a GIgabyte GA-P35-DS3L So, does anyone know what the problem is? And if this isnt so easy to fix, can anyone recommend a 250gb HD that is definately compatible and a DVD player (not writer, i dont need two) that is definately compatible? Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/84258-big-problemo/ Share on other sites
