Darwin "root"not Tiger "root"

when I installed Darwin, I had to set a root password, but after the "ditto" install of osx, I can't su to root from a terminal. anyone else experiencing this?

Ok, after searching some more, found this...

 

start boot with "-s" option

at shell, type:

sh /etc/rc

passwd curtis

*newpass*

 

note: after the sh command, it may look like the system has halted. just do an "ls" to bring the prompt up....
