Hey, i just downloaded the Jas OS (10.4.8 version).  Now the problem is that its not detecting my hard drive. My system specs are :-

 

AMD 4400+ X2 (Brisbane core, 65nm).

Jetway JM2A692-GDG mobo with ATI x1250 onboard graphics.

2 GB DDR2 @ 667 MHz RAM (Kingston, dual channel, 5-5-5-15)

Western Digital 250 GB Hard Drive SATA II with 16 MB Buffer

Sony DRU-835 A DVD writer

Realtek AC 97 onboard Sound Card

Viewsonic 1912w widescreen TFT (1440x900 @ 75 Hz)

 

Please help. I've sucessfully installed it through VMware and Virtualbox.

you probably have a sb600 southbridge... got the same problem myself... hope the community is working for a workaround... check these threads:
