hecker Posted January 26, 2008 Share Posted January 26, 2008 Enable fast user switching in System Preferences->Accounts->Login Options Pane. Now you can click on the name displayed on the top right side of the menu bar and select "Login Window". That will effectively lock the machine and prompt you for a user password to get back in. The applications will remain active in the background.
