Ayanami
It was 1.1.2 OTB, upgraded to 1.1.3. I think I'm fine with it as is for now. I just wish I could get a few of Apple's apps to go away. I have no use for Stocks, YouTube, Mail (now that I can webclip Gmail), or the mobile iTunes store... InteliMac Pro
Ok I found a how to that describes how to downgrade a phone that has been upgraded to stock 1.1.3 and reupgrade it jailbroken. Numberzz is it cool to post a link to the page? I'm not sure about the rules for posting links here. It helped me to get my phone jailbroken on 1.1.3 AND get the phone functions restored as well. maps seem to be working fine, although i'm getting the mail password glitch that i've read about so i'll have to install the fix for that. But i'm psyched that i finally got it to work. Only took two days! DarkLord7854
Worked perfectly for me.Although I've yet to have Google's GPS-ish feature work for me, it's very nice to arrange my icons how I really want them. Install Navizon, make it do a locate query for you, wait for it to succeed/fail, uninstall Navizon, and Google Maps will be able to locate you Upgraded mine yesterday from 1.0.2, trying to remember how to change the black background now.. Also.. if you have an unlocked phone with firmware 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 it'll stay unlocked when going to 1.1.3 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/83715-113-jailbroken/page/2/#findComment-596179 Share on other sites

Oh well. I was also wondering if anyone was having problems receiving mail, cuz I do. Does anyone know of a good fix for that?Ok, not only is my mail not working, but also edge. I've been trying the "1.1.3 Tweaks" after you add the source "http://sleepers.net/iphonerepo" but so far the only fix that has worked is for the ringtones. (They were silent)If anyone has any advice... I need help! I might have to downgrade to 1.1.1 cuz i NEED mail. non sequitur
http://ijailbreak.com/ they have an automated process, reportedly works very well using an intel mac to jailbreak 1.1.3. i dont have an iphone yet, but its supposed to be stable. it also jailbreaks the touch to 1.1.3. scj312
I used the official DevTeam method and it's working great Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/83715-113-jailbroken/page/2/#findComment-597290 Share on other sites
cmdshft
The Official DevTeam jailbreak is now completely automated, and can be done WITHOUT a computer, and the best part is, iPod touch user's can get the $20 apps and features for free as well. All done through the wonder we know as Installer.app. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=597346 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/83715-113-jailbroken/page/2/#findComment-597339 Share on other sites

All done through the wonder we know as Installer.app. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=597346 Can be done without a computer so long as you're running a jailbroken 1.1.2. If you're on 1.1.1 jailbroken you need to update and Jailbreak 1.1.2. If you're on 1.1.3 you need to do the downgrade/jailbreak upgrade/jailbreak and then run the 1.1.3 jailbreak from the Dev Team that's in the installer. You'll also probably have to put the lockdownd file in your phone as well to get phone functionality back, but i'm not sure if that's just a 4.6 bootloader thing (and you were already upgraded to stock 1.1.3). dsc106
So to clarify... does jailbroken mean it makes the phone able to install 3rd party apps, etc.? Or does it mean it can work with any service provider?
