Hamb0ne Posted January 24, 2008 Share Posted January 24, 2008 my install is almost perfect .. only if i can get my SATA DVD drive to read CDs and DVDs. anyone knows about this problem? system profiler sees my DVD drive but when i put a CD or DVD , it doesnt read it.i installed Kalyway 10.50.1 with everything unslected except for the bootloader. EDIT: i also installed the Nforce MAch kernel for 10.50.1 to get both my cores working and i also installed the MeDevil NforceATA kext, and Punk92 Graphics driver. mtotho Posted January 24, 2008 Share Posted January 24, 2008 not by going into the dvd installer as that will reinstall all leopard cause kalyway doesnt have an option to take of core package. But if you browse thru the dvd on leopard you will find the vanilla_kernel.pkg. I have never installed this way but it may work.
