peejay
Hello everyone, I keep having issues with my current Asus P5k-VM motherboard, which has an ICH9 southbridge. AHCI limited to 2 sata ports, keeps crashing while unpacking big files and with Eyetv. From what I read around here the ICH9 is to blame and is not very well suited to use with osx. So my question is, which is the best to go for? Am I right in thinking ICH9R is better supported and I should stay clear from ICH8 and standard ICH9? Is there a reason to prefer ICH9R over ICH7? Thanks in advance, guys! (I'm using Leopard, btw) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/83368-is-ich7-southbridge-the-best-bet-for-osx86/ Share on other sites
