Network cable is not detected only in a specific location

Hi!, I have an almost perfect installation of Leopard in my Thinkpad T60p.

I've been using it as my primary OS for the last few months, but since last week I've been having a problem connecting to the wired network in my client's office. Everywhere else (my office, my house, etc...) the network works just fine, but there OS X refuses to recognize that i've plugged the network cable. The card is doing the green and yellow activity lights thing, but the OS is not recognizing it!

On the other side, if I boot with my WinXP partition everything works just fine.

One extra piece of info: I've thought it could be the network cable, so I tried to use the cable I use at my place (and that I know that works fine), but when I plugged it in, not even the laptop recognized it (no green and yellow activity lights). Not in Windows, not in OS X... So, I think it might be something strange they've done with the network cables they're using.

Any ideas??

Thanks!

Zaiden
