vakakush Posted January 20, 2008 Share Posted January 20, 2008 Dual boot Windows Xp with Mac OSX Using disk utility create two partitions with Partition Map Scheme : Master Boot Record and erase them as :- 1.Mac OS Extended (Journaled) for installing mac 2.MS-DOS (FAT) for installing windows now install mac on partition 1 and after successful install of OSX reboot. now reformat the partition as NTFS (during installation of xp) and install xp on partition 2 after installing xp go to \ (root) and paste CHAIN0 CHAIN0.zip open boot.ini and add C:\chain0="Mac OS X" your boot.ini should look like this [boot loader] timeout=30 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect C:\chain0="Mac OS X" now reboot and choose Mac OS X to boot into mac and select harddisk partion hd(0,1) for boot into mac .
