idividebyzero
I have sound working but theres no bass. Anyone know what problem that is related to? I used a txt dump for my board posted in the solution thread, by Zulu Walker or something like that, Ive also tried the ALC883 installer from skippyretard, but results are the same, no bass at all. I only get bass when it displays as "Apple HD Audio" or whatever, but then I cant use line-in or any other port. I only use headphones and the line-in port, so really all I need is 2ch and line-in to work. dump.5point1.txt

gotoh
multiple channels only works with digital audio output, not from analog outputs... I believe this is a driver limitation, simply because Apple genuine hardware only do 5.1 throught digital audio output and never from analog outputs. It would maybe interesting to get a linux codec dump with 5.1 analog and (first check if it works in Linux) then see if there's any difference when only stereo is connected. Those HD audio codecs are normally "autodetect" devices... They do it in Windows, not sure with Linux...
idividebyzero
How do you get a dump with just analog? The audio sounds fine with Ubuntu. Is it possible to edit the dump so that digital "doesnt exist" and it forces analog as the only option? Ive tried deleting the [audio output] entries at the top but that didnt help, it just got rid of the extra line-out options in MIDI.
BartAfterDark
You say no analog 5.1 signal :S But when I test my speakers under the speaker setting I get a buzzing sound on all my front speakers and and subwoofer. But still no bass if I change to stereo

But still no bass if I change to stereo I have same problem on my Asus P5KC with ALC883 Multichannel test work in 5.1, but MacOS use only 2 channel from Stereo settings. Thomahawk
Yes, I've got the same problem too: Sound sounds only nice on *headphone*-jack... Is there a solution? I only need one line-in and one line-out... Greez Thomahawk
