borzo
I have a problem. I installed Leopard with kalyway's release, i selected vanilla at boot, then in the installer kernel +acpifix, the nvidia drivers, the audio drivers and efimbr. It perfectly installs but here's the problems, that are alla related to the dual core. My notebook use a Core 2 Duo 2.0ghz so it should work perfectly but if i use it like it is the system is slow and the mouse is like 1fps and i can't use it. So i updated the system and reboot, everything works (with cpus=1) and even sleep works, but i can't have 2 cores... so how could i solve it? I have another problem, i don't know how to have my battery icon, i think i have to install a kext or something... Help please, i really want leopard to run full power on my dell! thanks borzo I was reading around and I understood it is a problem connected to dell laptops, is there a way that can be solved? It's very annoying to have a core duo and using like a core solo. borzo
i had problems with kalyway on a dell vostro 1500, under advice on this forum, i tried iATKOS. worked a charm. i've put a thread on here about it. well you say that sleep doesn't work and other things are not "out of the box", kalyway is great but the only problem is the dual core one... is there a way to fix it? Considering that maybe iaktos doesn't solve the problem cause we have different notebooks with different architectures (you have the new santarosa). I sort of fixed it this way: i used cpus=2 then start the system, before the login i click on sleep and then when it wakes up both the cores are working like a charm... could this be done with a script or something?
