Zeblade
Well I can play DVD's with other programs I have. But was wondering why I get "There was an initialization error" from the OS X DVD player? Is it because I use usb DVD player? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/80395-dvd-player-for-usb/ Share on other sites
Proteo
Yes, I don't know whether it is a bug or a "new feature", but I had the same problem when I attached my DVD player to an USB adapter. A solution that worked for me was to make a CDR image of whatever you want in Toast, and mount it before opening DVD Player (make sure it is mounted by Toast's "Mount it" menu, not by Disk Utility). This seems to fool the program, and will accept your DVD no matter the source.
