Ok I finally got it on dvd:)

I put a disc in and went to sleep and woke up reloaded disc verified disc and it worked

for the people in my previous situation:

before you waste about 75 dvd and your last one does the trick

this is what i did that was different to previous times:

didnt touch thecomputer

used imgburn to burn

selected write speed 1 eventhough it wrote the dvd at 2.4 speed in 23 min

didnt verify directly after burn. (might need to cool down)

i have this version KALYWAY_LEO_10.5.1intel_SSE2_SSE3 and when i unrar it, i saw two folders, one with a few kb (macosx) and the other with 4.5 gb (KALYWAY_LEO_10.5.1intel_SSE2_SSE3 )

iso, they both have same content except fotr the size.

so my problem is what do i burn i.e both folders, what name do i give the disc, do i need to mount the iso file or do i just burm the iso only.

need help

You have to use a differnt uzipping program (I forgot the name reformated my computer since then)

You will getonly one Iso file

Brn it at lowest speed using imgburn

You can use any unzip program you want, doesn't matter. It's just a zipped file like any other file. Use winzip, Izarc, winrar, the list goes on. You are going to burn the .ISO file. What you name the disc is up to you if you want. You shouldn't have rename it anyway. It is reccomended to burn at a low speed just incase you get errors burning at a fast speed. I've had no issues burning this >ISO file at 12X or 16X.

Dalandau, I am in same situation as you were few days ago. How did you get it to work? other than burning it at very low speed and burning it at test mode and not verify mode, using image burn? what else did you do. After the burn, were you able to see the kalywayiso inside xp / vista on your dvd-rom disk? any help is appreciated. I am soon running out of disks and dvd-rw are not nearby..post-178440-1201942340_thumb.jpg Hi All, this is how my kalayway disk looks like after it has been burnt using imgburn. Is it done correctly, do you think? or should I be seeing a lot more files here? thanks for the help.

It seems that your disk looks ok under windows,

You shouldn't be able to see anything besides the boot files since this disk is HFS formatted.

Just try booting from it and tell us how did it go.

From my own problems during buring Kalyway you need to burn the ISO>4.5Gb use the lowest speed you can even if your media and burner are able for more since it seems there are some errors if you burn to fast.

Best of luck

Thank you cobraf. You were right, my disk was ok, the problem was that i had not set my pc to boot from cdrom (in bios) and since the disk is almost 99% written, so when I looked at the disk surface, i could not distinguish it from an empty disk. sorry for the trouble my mistake.

though I am struggling with other problems and am posting my questions here (http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=83689&st=160) on pag 7-8-9).. so any help is appreciated.

That's because Windows doesn't recognize Mac files. Burn the .ISO and don't worry
