yeahwillturbo
I successfully installed 10.4 on a partition, with XP on the rest of the drive. But now I can't boot back into XP. Is there any way I can just delete the partition that osx86 is on, forcing my computer to boot into xp? Or if there's another way i can get into xp to delete the other partition, that would be great. Thanks in advance for any help at all. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/79262-cant-boot-xp-after-104-install/ Share on other sites
iScott
Just use your XP install disk to fix the MBR. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/79262-cant-boot-xp-after-104-install/#findComment-561674 Share on other sites

Dude_SJ
Well.. I'm not sure.. -> Boot with WinXP Disk, make Repair.. Try it! Otherwise.. -> Format that partition (windows) and reinstall it... On Mac OS you can backup windows files.. I guess.. At least my windows disk is detected on Mac OS.. When you're at WinXP, install http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/OS-Enh...s/EasyBCD.shtml It's a program to switch OS.. I heard about it but i never tried.. You also can try Acronis OS Selector.. i guess is that name... Direct Download: http://superdownloads.uol.com.br/redir.cfm?softid=18401 The second one is better than the first. More simple. BOTH SOFTWARES ARE FOR WINDOWS. NOT FOR MAC. GooD LucK!! milfulles
Try hold F8 during the boot, then the computer ask you if you want to start Win XP or OSX.
