Hynesy
As the topic says, I want to use time machine to backup to my ntfs formatted internal drive. Before I installed MacFUSE and ntfs-3G I could choose the ntfs formatted hard drive but obviously not write to it. After I installed those programs I couldn't see the hard drive in Time Machine. Is there anyway to back up to the ntfs hard drive. cheers Hynesy
errandwolfe
Hynesy, Let me ask you this, what is on your NTFS volume that you are trying to back up? If it is just data (pics, music, movies) then you might possibly find some way to hack time machine to get it. If that is a Windows installation though, I very much doubt Time Machine could make a backup that is even close to usable. It would almost certainly fail to back up your hidden and system files (such as the Windows registry). I very much doubt you would get a usable Windows if you ever had to restore. Hynesy
The NTFS volume is just a backup hard drive so theres no operating systems installed on it. How would I go about hacking it? cheers Hynesy
