apowerr
So, I have my new Sapphire ATI Radeon 3870 and I love it. It's such a good card for the money. However anytime I want to use it with an OS that's not Windows, I run into problems because it's such a new card. In Ubuntu 7.10 I install the 7.12 Linux driver from ATI, but that didn't work. The .run installed completed, but the Catalyst Control Center won't load. I've heard about the radeonhd 1.1.0 driver from Novell, but I'm not familiar enough with Linux to install it. So, how did you guys get your 3850/70's working with Linux?
asap18
had to revert back to 7.11 catalyst, 7.12 gives black screen on X ({censored} ati quality drivers). Other than that works fine. Its best on OSX tho .
