(MoC)
Vista is going to be out of the line in no time and NT 7.0 is going to be out. [Kinda sounds like apple's release timing(s)] What can we expect - Many improvements are slated for Seven - A new UI redisigned for easy use [finally] - More Stability - 2010 Release [Hopefully an alpha leak next year ] - Higher Security - Easier to use [like it wasn't n00bed out ] Our wishes to the corporate giant (The "Wishlist")
Numberzz
By the time 2010 comes around, according to PCWord, will all have 1TB drives, so the install size won't be a problem. Also, all computers will be a 5.9 on Vista's scale.
Forceman
It will just be funny to see what new features they promise and then not deliver just like Vista did. The trend will continue, corporate loving arse licking Microsoft and second rate desktop sheep who love premium names with no content *cough Vista Ultimate *cough Expect Microsoft to flood the market with even more versions of Windows. If Windows 7 gets a redesign during development expect it to be 2014
robotskip
And also expect the mindless, moronic repeating lemmings who have been incessantly repeating the same stupidity since the early 90s. That was hard.
Colonel
Nice going, taking that mockup image from the AeroXP forums...
Forceman
As long as Microsoft keep bring out {censored} OS's with expensive crapware in them we will.
(MoC)
I miss the old days. Windows 2000 was the only OS my computers ran until I was forced to upgrade to XP. No WGA, no Security Center, No stupid firewalls that {censored}ed everything up, and no stability issues. At least XP Pro was be pretty clean and better built. Hackers were trying to make SP2 Genuine and couldn't do it. As Vista came around, there was a crack for each beta and for the RTM. If I was forced to upgrade: Build 4074 is the way! Nice going MS.......
Forceman
Agreed, WIndows 2000 was the best version in my view, something that actually did right.
(MoC)
But even XP if properly tweaked can behave like 2k. My XP is modded to hell and back. That's why I have a boot time of 10 seconds (from when I push the button till explorer is loaded). Not only boot, but the whole OS is zipper!! InorganicMatter
All I want is a new non-NT kernel, forced 64 bit, and forced driver quality control.
saxDaddy
Complain all you want about M$ and Windoze ( I'd expect no less than that here) but I've made a handsome living for many years being a Windows admin/engineer! Let's face it, it's all about market share and MS has it. No matter how they got it, they have it. And let's not forget they have some excellent products! Office, Visual Studio and (my old #1) MONSTER TRUCK MADNESS!!!!
(MoC)
I do not hate the company or the line. They are very good at making operating systems but the last release (7.0) came out bad. And I also like the oldschool games, I still have a cd with about 300 small dos games (I never get bored!!) :thumbsup_anim: :thumbsup_anim:
