Hey guys,

 

just to share the knowledge, i've search a lot to get this info :)

 

 

i installed my XP on a Gigabyte P35-DS4 in IDE mode, so each time i wanted to change systems, i would go to the BIOS and change the AHCI setting... not anymore!

Seems like a lot of effort, and changing disk controllers under Windows is (or used to be) a big no-no. Would be easier to integrate the AHCI drivers (as well as all the Windows Updates) into your Windows XP disk using nLite; then just reinstall your OS using the new disk.

yup, you can do that

 

 

but for me the windows install isn't very important, i just use it for playing some games... so this method is better than do a reinstall :(

 

everything working as expected for now.. if anything goes wrong, i'll post info here
