Korrupted
This topic is for writing install methods, sharing drivers, and other any info about Mac OS X Tiger and Leopard for this mobo family. Please do NOT ask questions in here. The goal is to keep the topic updated with links, not bogged down with endless support questions. Driver Pack for P35C-DS3X for Tiger: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...2361&st=20# (I used this pack today in an experiment, and it got me up and running quickly off a retail(10.4.5 disk, then upgraded to 10.4.11 before logging in) 100%, except sleep/reboot; shutdown is fine) Fix for Windows XP AHCI issues: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...mp;#entry545209 Tiger Install Guides: 1. If you already own a real Mac, like me, and also own an external USB drive: 1. Install Tiger(using your retail disk, whether you boot it or not, by installing from osinstall.pkg) to your external USB drive through whatever your favourite method is, but partition the disk as GUID. 2. Reboot into your Mac[if needed] and apply the PC_EFI patch to your newly created external Tiger partition. 3. DD the boot0 and boot1h files to your Tiger partition TODO: insert the terminal commands for these. I have to look it up again. 4. Update to 10.4.11 if needed, by running the standalone installer on the external drive, from your Mac. 5. Add any necessary kexts(such as the kext pack I included) 6. Use Disk Utility to Repair Permissions and Repair the Disk, just to be safe. 7. Try to boot. 8. If you want it on an internal drive, try formatting it clean using Disk Utility as GUID, and Restore your external drive[as source] to the internal drive[as destination]. It should work. Note: This may work with Leopard too. I have yet to try it, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. A.I.Ghost
DaxTsurugi Hey Man! I dont want to tell Moderator what he should do :-D , but instead of writing the heading, you could have rebuilt these guides and discussions, since those already contain lot of info. DS3P by Socal Swimmer DS3L PATA by Skitals G33M-DS2R by SkyZ G33M-DS2R by Thysm00 I've included G33, since it is very similar to P35. Planing to buy P35-DS4 myself. So, can you change the topic, so it is info compendium for all Gigabyte 33/35 series, not only p35-ds3x?
