I just got what seems to be an install MacOS X DVD .

Restarted the PC , with boot from CD option in Bios . No success , XP starts instead .

Now, I hear about installing from VMware .

Here is my question :

assuming it would install this way, does it mean I ll have to use OS X trough a Virtual Machine , wich is a kind of pain in the .... ?

It depends on how you install in VMWare.

Make a virtual machine in VMWare, but select a physical harddrive in the machine settings.

Install the OSX trough VMWare, now reboot you computer and select the harddrive that you installed OSX on. Now it should run in native mode.

Some problems using this metod is that the install is done on a virtual machine that may not be as you physical machine. In short, some of the native drivers wont load as the graphics drivers, so graphics will run in "software mode" (no quartz extreme).

I have made installation this way on 10.4.3 8F1111g, and it works great minus sound and WiFi.

Hope that clears it up.
