aammaj Posted December 9, 2007 Share Posted December 9, 2007 Hi I keep getting this error about 1/4 of the way through installation, error validating essentials package install failed must reboot, I tried from the brazilmac dvd and also tried making a restore image on a seperate partition and doing install from there both ways give me same install error, anything i can do to fix it? is it the iso image ? Proteo Posted December 9, 2007 Share Posted December 9, 2007 Yes, either your ISO image is corrupted or you need to burn it again. Some people find out that burning at the lowest possible speed fixes most of the read/verify issues, but once I used a cheapo, unbranded disc that needed to be burned at 8x (my "stock" burn speed) or the resulting disc was unreadeable, so YMMV.
