Hello folks.

I have tried macam. MacOS tells me I have a camera attached via USB (it is built-in in my notebook). Even the initial install took my "snapshot", however, the picture came out blank.

No other software has can find the camera.

I have no explanation for this. I wish someone had some ideas.

Jony

I have a usb creative notebook pro cam and I think the issue is the video driver.

I noticed when I use the standard default video driver, I was able to turn on the camera, but was not able to use with Yahoo IM or another IM.

when I updated the video driver for my laptop Dell D610 using the Callisto 5 (this is the only version work on the D610) I now lost my usb cam access. I can't turn on the camera anymore.

if have any digital camera that has a usb support for webcam of any dv camcorder that has a usb input to support the webcam.. that works check your digital camera/dv camcorder's manual then you dont need any kext or driver..all you have to do is plug in to the usb of your hackintosh and it will auto detect :(
