HP DV9000Z CTO AMD Turion 64x2 TL-60 80GB HDD x2 SATA nForce 410/430 MCP chipset 2GB Ram ToH_x86_9A581_RC2 Install cd My Problem. After entering Darwin installer i go to Disk Utility to partition my drive. I want to install on my second hdd to have a dedicated disk. I try to erase my disk and format but recieve an "Input / Output error". I have tried this with two seperate HDD's and have same problem. ANY HELP PLEASE!! Figured someone had fixed it. Mebster Posted December 5, 2007 Share Posted December 5, 2007 Try using a different DVD drive if you have any around. Also possibly try burning again onto a different DVD brand disk. I've had several problems before and doing one or the other seemed to help with I/O error.
