I have a toshiba satellite A215-4587 laptop, with Leopard and EFI installed. Everything works except for sound (ALC268) and

wireless (Intel Pro Wireless 3945abg).

I have bee trying with both AppleHDA patcher (v1.18) and edited AppleAzalia.kext to get sound. AppleHDA does not work at all. With AppleAzalia.kext (Info.plist edited).

I see the Intel HDA Under devices, My Volume Control is enable and I am able to adjust the volume, But I am not getting any sound either through internal speaker nor using headphones. Please help.

Thanks in Advance

Rajkumar

Can you see the volume indicator in the menu bar? If you cannot, that is not a good sign.

One thing you might also try is to launch the audio/midi app from Utilities, and play with those settings. Some people have had success by switching the card audio mode to 5.1 mode, and then switching the left and right channels to channels 3 and 6 [not 1 & 2]. Maybe try other channels, of course.

This worked on my non-intel audio card, but it might be worth a shot.
