Hey guys,

I just installed Leopard 10.5.1 for AMD and at first I couldn't get past the Welcome screen right post install because Leopard wasn't able to create an account. However, I've bypassed this problem by importing an account using Migration Assistant. However, know there is a new problem. Whenever I try to login, I see the desktop for a second, and then it logs me out right away. I've tried in safe mode and booting with -f and nothing works. Any ideas???

Thanks in advance!

My specs:

AMD 3800 X2

nForce 430 6150

1gb RAM

160GB IDE

I figured it out.

Here's the problem, loginwindow.app is not properly decrypted either from your install or a 10.5.1 update. If you have 10.5.0, login to single user mode and run ./replace-it.sh and then ./patcher cpuid.txt from the Shrinker package. If you have 10.5.1, in addition to doing the 10.5.0 patching, get marvin's amd utility, and the Mac OSX 10.5.1 package from apple. Extract the contents of the package using Pacifist and run the marvin utility in create patcher mode (There is a thread on updating to 10.5.1 here, follow it). You will generate some patcher scripts. Login to single user mode and run those scripts - Problem should be solved.

Boot with -s option

at the prompt type: mount -uw / to mount your drive

The package can be found on apple.com/support - It's just the official package, put you need to generate the patcher for it using Marvin's AMD Util
