Shaj
The repair permissions, since Installing Leopard, seems to be taking unusually long. Compared to Tiger that is. Anyone else experiencing similar problems?
radiohead
Yes. Also, after 10.5.1. update progress bar is now visible/doing something. Still slow though. I think its Apple related - not x86. (BrazilMac install)
shoarthing
A ToH install had very, very slow Disk Util repair/verify permissions. An install [& update straight to 10.5.1] from the retail DVD via Pacifist has very fast verify/repair permissions.
Shaj
I'm not sure if this is just me, but I managed to get it to run 'faster' by opening up System Preferences while the repair was being performed. Everytime I opened and closed the preferences, it would have immediate impact...
blackturtleneck
It's slow. Even on a brand new iMac.
