Tyraenor
Hi all, I've a serious problem... Whenever I move my mouse over a textfield (e.g. in Firefox) a clone of the cursor stucks there. So I still have a cursor, but a duplicate of it leaves at the textfield. This problem is not in all applications. E.g. in Safari it works fine... So anyone has a clue what could fix that problem?? It drives me insane... Plz help!! Thanks! My System Info: Dell Latitude D620 - Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 (One core only ) - Intel GMA950 (QE/CI working 100%) - Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 - Sepia Bluetooth 2.0 dongle (works 100% ootb) ToH Leopard 10.5 9A581 - Everything works fine except PCCard and sleep EDIT: I found the reason for the problem... But no solution. It is the graphic card. When I use the GMA950 kext from 10.4.8 JaS, the problem is gone. But then the next problem comes. After using the kext, no QE is possible and CI is only Software emulated. So now I know the reason but no real fix for it... Hopefully anybody can help me. EDIT2: Found another thread about the problem... So I will look there for updates. Sry...

TheGreatDeceiver
Hi all, I've a serious problem... Whenever I move my mouse over a textfield (e.g. in Firefox) a clone of the cursor stucks there. EDIT2: Found another thread about the problem... So I will look there for updates. Sry... this is a known problem with Dells and gma950. Paulicat and iGuru posted about this and it seems that there is no solution. if you plug in an external monitor you will see that the mouse tearing goes away. Only happens with memory heavy programs. So far there is no solution for Dell's. Paulicat's solution works on non Dells. The best you can do is use a program like mousepose to minimize the tearing. works for me. hope there will be a solution but I am very pessimistic. http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=16193 http://forum.osx86scene.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2540 http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...mp;#entry501607 http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...amp;mode=linear http://forum.osx86scene.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2734
pooncoon
Hello everyone- Just wondering if anyone has found more information on this "mouse tearing". I used Kalyways installer, and this appears to be the only issue I am having- with the mouse messing up sometimes; but it seems to only do this in firefox. mousepose is the only program to fix this issue? Is there a free alternative? Thanks in advance.
Dysan911
Google Firefox3 and install that.. Solves the issue for me!
Achilleus
My mouse tears when I use Flash CS3 on Leopard. It makes perfect sense that it would be a graphics issue, I've had similar problems in the past with cheap graphics cards. I have an Intel GMA950 on an Acer 3680. I'll check those threads for anything that can minimize it, because it's really starting to make Flash unusable and I'm trying to use this hackintosh for any web development. And I use almost all Adobe products for that.
pooncoon
Thanks Dysan! Beta 3 fixed the tear issue with firefox, so that was a huge help. I seem to be getting tearing occasionally with word/excel also, so if anyone figures out any fixes, please let me know.
Dr. C
AFAIK there is no 100% fix out there for this problem. You should just wait for 10.5.2, which updates a lot of graphic drivers - if we`re lucky, GMA950 might work 100% after.
Dysan911
Thats awesome news Dr. C. Do you know when exactly are we supposed to get the 10.5.2?
Dr. C
No, I`m waiting too. Not that I do know there will be some fix, I`m just hoping :-)
pooncoon
is updating to 10.5.2 when it does come going to be seamless for Kalyway users? I've never updated a mac let alone a hackintosh lol.
Dr. C
Good question, my guess would be that it *should* work if you have EFI installed. But I would wait for someone here testing it first.
