mike_
Hi, I just installed JaS OS 10.4.8 on my HP NX6110 laptop. Spec: 768MB RAM 160GB WD1600BEVE HDD Intel 915GM graphics Realtek audio BCM440x LAN Broadcom wireless After the incredibly long installation, I booted it up and it hung at a blue screen. Pressing F8 and booting with '-v' got the laptop to boot properly (at the blue screen the cursor appeared) and was working perfectly. I managed to boot without issue several times. However, I went AFK for a while and came back to find the screen had switched off and that I couldn't wake up the machine. I powered it off and upon booting with '-v' no longer works: it hangs at the blue screen again. Any ideas?
mike_
Turns out this was the dual screen problem common on HP laptops and was solved with the paperclip/staple hack. Boots perfectly every time now.
