rob356
I have gotten virus barrier, and when I install it, it says it is going to have to restart after installation. I know this is something to be wary of, so will it wreck my install? Thanks
bibendum
I don't think requiring a reboot is necessarily something to be wary of, but I'd be wary of any OSX virus software... Patrick
rob356
so installing anti-virus software is a no-no if I want to stay on the safe side, correct?
nandemonai
so installing anti-virus software is a no-no if I want to stay on the safe side, correct? I wouldn't even worry about anti-virus. This isn't Windows.

Nico3d3
planning on looking at brittany spears thats were it came from. Even if you'd go to these sites, you would still have to be stupid enough to enter your root password when the OS ask for it. This is not a real threat as long as everyone is intelligent enough to not give the ok for every possible thing that ask for your root password. It's the same thing as in Windows, in fact I found Vista quite secure with the UAC, it's just that the implementation of it is a big mess in Vista.
