thegodfaza
I have a dynamic IP at my home and I need to access my network remotely. It sometimes changes since it's dynamic. Is there any way I can see what my remote IP is currently. This is not MY IP. I am trying to find the IP of my remote computer. Superhai
Dynamic DNS is the easiest, but also a script or app that post your ip on a web page is possible. errandwolfe
Also just FYI some router manufacturers like dLink have now got there own dnydns type system that integrates right into the router so you are not even dependent on a PC to update your IP. Trentus
DynDNS is the way to go. I use it to remote into my home computer. Works a treat. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/68355-find-my-ip-remotely/#findComment-486655 Share on other sites
thegodfaza
That works well. Now I need to buy a better quality CAT5 cable. The one that goes into my server is flimsy and got knocked out as I was unplugging my xbox. Now when I tried to get on I couldn't connect to that server in my house. Luckily I have a better one lying around somewhere. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/68355-find-my-ip-remotely/#findComment-492015 Share on other sites
