Macpaq Posted October 26, 2007 Share Posted October 26, 2007 I wonder why there is so much trouble trying to get the Broadcom 4311 to work? I have installed JaS.Mac.OS.X.10.4.8.AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3.PPF.1.Defiant.diskutil.biker880.ich7-R.patch.Integrated. on my Compaq C500 laptop. Everything else works except for the wireless. I did everything I found in this forum but nothing works. Very frustracting!!! Is it just me being dumb? I tried out a Linux Mepis 6.0.6 boot CD. Once it boots up, the blue wireless button light lite up. All I need to do is configure the network with my SSID and ip address (I use static IP on my network) It just works like a champ!! I don't have the skill to port the wireless to OSX86, perhaps this could be some help to someone who has the skill and the will to solve this issue?
