Nihilanth
i got everything set up and DDed over to my drive, then i get ready to boot. a number of things happen if i dont give darwin any specific boot commands it brings up the grey apple logo with the rotating bars and loads for a while. after a minute or two it locks up for a few seconds and then shows a screen saying i need to reboot. ive rebooted many times with no luck. if i type -x it loads with the apple logo but just locks up, i dont get an error message or anything. the bars just stop spinning. if i type -v it loads and then stops on something about devices. i thought it might need a USB keyboard instead of a PS2 one so i hooked up a USB keyboard. same error. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks oh and if it would help here's my system settings Intel Pentium 4 3.2Ghz E "Prescott" (with SSE3) Intel D865PERLK Motherboard 1GB Crucial PC3200 RAM (2x 512) 128MB ATI Radeon 9600XT 120GB Western Digital 7200rpm SATA Drive (main - windows) 80GB Maxtor 7200rpm IDE Drive (secondary normally but switched to main for install - OSX) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/674-booting-issue/ Share on other sites
