i got everything set up and DDed over to my drive, then i get ready to boot. a number of things happen

if i dont give darwin any specific boot commands it brings up the grey apple logo with the rotating bars and loads for a while. after a minute or two it locks up for a few seconds and then shows a screen saying i need to reboot. ive rebooted many times with no luck.

if i type -x it loads with the apple logo but just locks up, i dont get an error message or anything. the bars just stop spinning.

if i type -v it loads and then stops on something about devices. i thought it might need a USB keyboard instead of a PS2 one so i hooked up a USB keyboard. same error.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

update: i manages to boot it in safe mode, but i have a couple new problems. i moved the position of the hard drive on the ide cable up to the master position and it let me boot in safe mode. however, when i try to boot to normal it doesnt work, it just hangs on the apple logo

couple remaining problems:

a. CoreGraphics: i have the file, how do i set it up?

b. Rosetta: how do i get it to work?

c. PS2 Keyboard: how do i get it to work?

thanks..
