Nitramusa
Would a Usb External Hdd be fast enough to run osx86 on? I have not got firewire on my laptop and want to run osx from a external drive Thxs In my opinion its OK as long as u don't want to use heavy/professional software for example Adobe Premiere, Photoshop... If you use it only for internet and light stuff i think that it's ok...

ced1610
it's not so bad but boot ing on a usb2 drive is 2 time slower than a real sata drive (for booting and feelings, but a lot more slow in fact...) and, for a best experience, it is not advised, but if youn don't have the choice... in another hand, it's a lot more fast than installing on a usb2-key... (but i'm using this way for my secour system...)
