I keep on running into a snag during installation. After i install everything and reboot i keep getting this error:

"Error:Firewire unable to determine security-mode; defaulting to full-secure.

Then it is followed with Still waiting for root device.

I formated the drive through disk utility and set it as primary, i also followed the install that is in the other DS4 thread but to no avail mine doesnt work.

My setup is:

P35-DS4 rev 2

2 x 2 gigs of Crucial XMS

sata 320 Seagate hd fat 32

sata 320 seagate dynamic

ide 240 WD 2 partitions one for os x86 and winxp

ide sony dvd

EV3A 320mb 8800GTS

OSX86 installed from XxX_OS_x86_10.4.10_Install_Disk_with_PPF1.iso

EssentialSystemSoftware

Intel.SSE3 kernel + essential.10.4.10.Patches

GraphicDrivers -> nVidia.Support -> Natit.Dual.v02

NetworkDrivers -> RealtekR1000.Driver

i also tried removing the sata drives during installation

my bios is set to IDE wheni set it to ACHI i get com.apple.boot missing. i

kept it as ide so i could go back and forth between xp and osx86.

Is there something im missing or a kext that im not enabling?

please help
