super_engine Posted October 20, 2007 Share Posted October 20, 2007 Hi In this guide i want explain how do a native installation on laptop with SATA HD In may case i have a VIA VT8237A SATA controller (ID 0x05911106) 1--> Create 10.4.8 DVD installation Get a copy of your iso image on desktop Follow the guide as below: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...mp;#entry280004 At the end of installation, on your laptop, you have fully working SATA HD, DVD, And Ethernet CArd (rhine II) 2--> Activate the Audio card Delete the file AppleHDA.kext Clean the extension folder (chown, chmod, etc.) Download from this topics the file for installing the azalia kext (is a zip) (http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=36520) 3--> For the Atheros AR5005G follow the easy guide on this topic (http://www.insanelymac.com/lofiversion/index.php/t33089.html) 4--> The BIG problem for my laptop is the Video Card. I have a FS Amilo Li 1705 with a S3 Unichrome IGP card. I don't find a good driver o method for enable the video acceleration (CI/QE). So the big problen is that on my laptop in impossible see the DVD or Divx.
