Don Rafael Posted October 20, 2007 Share Posted October 20, 2007 hi guys, after installing 10.4.8 JAS SSE2 SSE3 it worked fine not until i tried restarting my laptop. it was frozen on the blue scren part with the gray spinning wheel. I ran out of patience and i decided to unplug my laptop from the power source and remove the battery. Right after that it will not turn on. i have tried plugging it directly to the power source with and without the battery and still i've got no luck. any suggestions? will i still be able to turn on my laptop? olikicksass Posted October 20, 2007 Share Posted October 20, 2007 software cant stop a PC from turning on, so we know its not OSX's fault, even though it seems coincidental. I would leave it unplugged overnight and try again in the morning. Don Rafael Posted October 20, 2007 Author Share Posted October 20, 2007 Hi... Here's an update on what had happened with my laptop after I installed a 10.4.8 JAS SSE2 SSE3. As i mentioned from my original post my laptop is not turning on after the installation. after desperate hours of spending time on the internet trying to find out what caused it, I decided to open my laptop and remove the internal battery. And guess what i was able to turn it on. I manage to boot on my windows XP and it worked like magic. I still have my data and I still have the OSX installed. so i decided to restart my laptop and boot from OSX. it went fine. i was able to play around with my newly installed OS and so i decided to restart my laptop and go back to my good 'ol windows xp. Once again my laptop is not turning on. for some reason it disables the power switch of my laptop. so i opened my laptop again. remove the internal battery and i was able to turn on my laptop again. i am not sure if this is caused by the mac OSX 10.4.8 ??? what do you think? thanks.
