Yami Bakura
Any setting that can be changed (anywhere in the system) that will make the Mac run cooler? I tried setting my MacBook to Better Battery Life but it ran hotter with that setting. pilsator
My G5 iMacs system settings offered the option to slow down CPU speed. But it still ran too hot leading to errors and crashes. Maybe a case of "form beats function". That was the reason for me to switch to a hackintosh as a MacPro is too expensive for me and I don't need the highend features. I also read in a computer magazine that some of the MacPros stink like hell. No joke, they wrote they smell like a mixture of marijuana and dead animals and users couldn't stand it and returned them. My "solution" for the iMac was to burn DVDs right after booting the mac or in winter while all windows open. Maybe your macbook is not such a disaster. good luck, pilsator Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/65855-make-a-mac-run-cooler/#findComment-506530 Share on other sites
