squallsed
I've seen that on realtek site they released a version for intel based mac for the Rtl8187. I've a Rtl8185. In your opinion i've some chanches if i install the package for 8187 and then i go to modify info.plist with characteristic of 8185?or i should modify also some other file? maybe it is an impossible thing to do...but i was wandering...i hope some expert explain me thanks a lot Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/65736-realtek-rtl8185-wireless-i-need-your-opinion/ Share on other sites

Matt Frusciante
no way? i've got the same card in a celeron 2.0 and doesn't work, we must wait realtek to make the intel based mac driver for this card. actualy i bought an encore wifi 8187L but it's a piece of SH.... it get's warm and it loose the connectiion,.. im seriusly thinking about buying and airport extreme and a airport card..... i tell you, realtek 8185 is pci and 8187 is usb. no chances to modify info.plist cause it's not the plist that you must modify is the driver that must search the device in another different Port.. and don't know you but, in pci cards in system profiler i get this,"Parece que no hay ninguna tarjeta PCI instalada en este ordenador." so don't know if hack os x will recognize it after all... cheers matt Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/65736-realtek-rtl8185-wireless-i-need-your-opinion/#findComment-473230 Share on other sites
