hreggi89
I've got the 10.4.9 Uphuck v.1.4i Revision 3 that I downloaded from oink.cd, a private torrent site, and booting the cd works fine and all, but when copying files during installation reaches 8% i get a "Installation has failed" message, well those weren't the exact words but it was something like that. Then the only thing I can do is restart and try again with the same result. I've got a pretty old P4 computer but my cpu does support SSE2, so i don't see what the problem is, I don't think the DVD is faulty because before installation starts the setup "checks the dvd" for 10minutes before it starts installing. Does someone know what the cause of this is and maybe how it can be fixed?
siddharth
It's because your Optical Disc Drive isn't supported. Try upgrading the drive's firmware or using another drive to install. I suffered from the same problem when I bought a new Sony DVD Drive(DRU-835A). Suddenly all the discs that worked earlier, stopped working and I got the same message. I hooked up my old drive, and it installed successfully. Hope this helps, Sid.
