RedSox
Have a MBP, just wondering what would happen with new LEP if I installed it, does it just work? Will Logic 8, iWork, etc, still work? Or best to wait for official release? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/65017-installing-leopard-on-mbp/ Share on other sites
rathalos
iwork will work, definitely.. cos i used that to create my presentations and papers jus a few days ago... As for logic, i'm not sure... but iLife does work fully now... of course its best to wait for the full release rather than using beta release, but if u're itching for a try at leopard, u can always go and try... but backup ur data first... and leopard works on mbp, cos i'm on a mbp myself... HackerName
You might want to check out the three threads on 9A559 already dealing with apps that won't work and bugs etc Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/65017-installing-leopard-on-mbp/#findComment-460454 Share on other sites

Thanks - well I wonder how much longer? Because of this group I actually got a pt job at apple store - so know we will get it free (we got iwork and ilife 08 free) so am assuming it will be free as they want us to know the software (makes sense). Too bad they don't offer commissions, as its really easy to sell $16-20K in one day. I don't want to screw up Logic of FCP, although I do have it backed up and need some important mails (emails) which I know I can move the mail folder to back up, but it should be soon. I know there is also a NEWER FCP coming as well - and was told it was VERY APPLE like -- hope it has some of the ease of iMovie 08 but deep with transitions, FX. I think the new FCP really is going to makes some serious dents in Avid (already has) and was hoping Logic would too - but no great APPLE instruments to date (i.e. really cool drum module ala strike, or ability to play/use Pro Tools plug ins. (RTAS). Peace Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/65017-installing-leopard-on-mbp/#findComment-460780 Share on other sites
