This worked at first, after I applied the kexts and rebooted, and then after the second reboot I lost the icon in the finderbar and also lost my sound. Anyone have a suggestion?

I have Lenovo N100 3000, model with 861, and this metod works for me on 10.5.1

I download file from:

http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=452459

and then using program:

http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=791708

installed kext's from zip, than checked Repair permissions, set extensions permissions, clear...and all other tasks exept Update prebinding and touch extension folder (becouse I am not quite understand what they will do) and after selected tasks was done, and after restart, finaly I have a soud!

Internal spekers, mic, and even output to earphones work.

Volume slider does not working, but this (lower or higher sound) work through sliders in applications.

Thanks MadTux for kext and ~pcwiz for great app!

I don't know if this will help, but here is my codec dump from my toshiba laptop with 861-VD running Ubuntu 8.0.4

(codec#0 is probably what you want, but I attached codec#1 as well just in case)

I puted a kext on a first page for toshiba. I believe you had a sound from speakers with Azalia kext?
