Hey guys! I am a new user in this forum and a n00b. :D

I use JaS 10.4.8 and 10.4.9 updater in my pc. I have a P4 SSE2 processor. Whenever I want to update my pc to 10.4.10 using koolkas's updater, it updates but upon reboot it gives a kernel panic. :(:(

I selected the universal package sse2 & sse3 in my installation. It should update the kernel to 8.9.1 but whatever it does, finally it hangs on the next reboot. :yoji:

Please help :)

Hi, and Welcome.

Try doing this:

Since you have the 10.4.10 installed, use your Jas 10.4.8 disc, boot into the installer, but don't install over the 10.4.10.

Go directly to Disk Utility in the Menu Bar at the top of the screen.

Select the Hard Drive you installed KoolKal on, and then repair the permissions.

When it's done, close out of Disk Utility, and then ReBoot the system.

See if that helps.

I've had the most luck using either the Jas 10.4.7 install disc or the Jas 10.4.8 disc to fix problems.

Currently I have everything working on an Intel D945GCCR Motherboard, and did a lot of repairs with the Jas discs after using the KoolKal.

X86-1138 out.
