platinum
this question was very poorly posted a few months ago, so i'm gonna ask it now because i wanna know. lolz would this board (and it's chipset) work okay with osx86? if i install osx86 on one of these, i'll put a visiontek ati x1300 to make it QE and CI compatible. i'm wordering about usb, sata, sound and lan. thx! Azurael
Where do you intend to put said X1300. This board only has a PCI slot! If the new Celeron on it is Conroe-L based, it should support SSE3, but chipset support for SiS is notoriously bad in OS X. Unless the SATA is AHCI, I wouldn't hope too much to have working HDD access Was looking at these for a carputer project, but decided a dismantled deceased laptop would be a better idea Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/62990-intel-d201gly-a-good-buy-for-osx86/#findComment-446127 Share on other sites
platinum
i know it's a pci card slot. visiontek makes a pci version of the ati x1300. it is the most powerful pci graphics card to date but i think you may be right about the sis chipset. i read somewhere that the sis chipset could be worked around a bit, but it may not be worth all the trouble. i think i'll just avoid the whole non intel thing and get my asus eee.
