doktorat
Yeap. I've managed this. well, to start with - it doesn't work with integrated video card, so be sure to get a new one. geforces work great. than, all your hardware should be sata, even dvd-rom. and plugged in sata-0, sata-1. IDE, Sata-2 and -3 doesn't work. update your bios from intel.com and set up drive configuration to ahci. Should work. after installation you'll need to download patches for sound from this forum. Good luck, Valentin.

GmRg
Another approach is to use a USB DVD drive or if you have an IDE to USB adapter you can hook it to your DVD drive and set the bios to boot USB devices. That worked perfectly with me.
Fernando.R
Hi! I'm a owner of an Intel DG965RY too and I'm trying to install MAC OS X without success. My system is Intel DG965RY Sound, video and network onboard HD1: SATA 0 250 GB HD2: EIDE 80GB DVDR1: SATA 1 Samsung TSS Corp CDDVDW SH-S203B DVDR2: EIDE -to- USB Samsung TSS Corp CDDVDW SH-S202G RAM: 2x 512 667 + 2x 1024 800: 3GB total I already try: Kalyway 10.5.2 / Myz 10.4.4 / JaS 10.4.8 And I try to edit Kalyway replacing some Kext folders with Magiciso Result: Kalyway and JaS normaly stops at ACPI: System State [s0 S3 S4 S5] (S3) or some reference to, I believe, absence of a boot device after F8 and the load of some drivers. But my HD is SATA and is connected to SATA 0 port... I try to use my EIDE HD with my USB box adaptor. Same result. I try to boot the install DVD inside that USB box. Same result. The result vary depending if I use -v ou -x or -s or -f but never leaves the terminal screen. Myz normaly goes from inicial screen to a white screen with a gray Apple logo and stops there. I read somewhere that I must replace some files at the install DVD to use with this particular motherboard so: Edit Kalyway to replace AppleACPIplatform.kext / AppleAPIC.kext / AppleSMBIOS.kext / IODATAFamily.kext / system.kext: I try with magiciso for windows to edit the kalyway iso image but the result is a image with duplicate files. The files are duplicated and can be read by windows (normaly you just see the boot files with windows and the other files just with MAC OS). Because of that the image size ends with more than 7GB and must be recorder at a dual-layer DVD. The result of this is a DVD that is recognized as a boot device but freezes imediatly... Well, if you guys can help me, please, do it! Thanx
candykane
Have you tryed Leo4all v3 yet? i had the same trouble with my ASUS P5W because i was using ATA drives. if you have an other machine running osx you could just use the flat image that skips the installation proces all together. Fernando.R
Hi Candykane! I download end tested Leo4All v1 and v3 last night. Same result. After some time stops asking for boot device (I don't know if this boot device is my HDD or the installation disk). I tested some other configs like disable serial ou disconnecting my USB mouse or replacing my ps2 keyboard for a USB but normaly stops near to System State [s0 S3 S4 S5] (S3) or something about duplicate class 15AppleACPIPS2Nub... I have here an old ibook Apple G4, is possible to install mac os x using it to skip installation as you sugest? (I have this adaptor for IDE - USB and a IDE HDD). I never really used Mac OS so I'll need detailed instructions I read the doc file that I found with Leo4All and I'm confuse about how to use the configs he mentioned. He is talking about some graphical option screen after this inicial process of loading? Something I never see because my iinstallation freezes before that? Or I can use some of that as a boot option? Well... I'm downloading iDeneb v1.3 10.5.5... maybe...
Xmedik
Install method: Install iDeneb v1.3 10.5.5 on another motherboards (For an example 945GS, P35 ....). You must set AHCI instead of IDE in BIOS DG965RY. Enjoy!
