I want to see how fast leo will work on the G4, I partitioned my Intel, restored it on one of the Intel Partitions, but I can't get it to install. Any ideas?? The G4 won't even start up off of the Intel in Firewire mode?? Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/62834-help-installing-on-a-g4-imac/ Share on other sites

The Baron
Worked great on my G4, that was with 512 memory and running from an external firewire drive. Now I've upped the memory, I'll do a native install soon. Ayanami
I ran into this problem myself with Tiger recently. The Intel's use a GUID partition table, and the PPC doesn't recognize those for startup. Same is true...Same is true for Intel, won't recognize anything on a PPC partition table for startup. cjonathan
I've got a Powerbook G4 1.5 ghz with 512 RAM. I assume Leopard 9a527 (this is the latest build I assume?) will work okay, but is there any way I can install it without a DL burner or partitioning? Thanks.
