Paulo Greimel
After updating from JAS 10.4.8 to 10.4.9 using this guide, the CPU temperature goes from 46/50 (50 celsius when using hard) to 56/58 celsius (the fan is always turned on and it gets hot very fast). I want to install iLife '08 and iWork '08, but no 10.4.9 update for me yet. Any ideas on how to solve this problem? chuck74
Same for me... Tried this http://paulicat.freeflux.net/blog/archive/2006/11/17/fix-for-super-hot-laptops-under-osx.html Improved situtation a bit. Better way: Install a kernel with speedstep and use SpeedStep Gui from tuxx to control the CPU speed. My notebook is a lot cooler now and battery lasts longer.
